London Fashion Week S/S 10

Just got back from my whirlwind trip to London for fashion week.  30 hours to get there, 7 shows in 5 days (throw in a couple of really early morning call times), 25 hours to get back = HECTIC TIMES!!

Couldn’t believe it had been 4 years since I had left London town, everything was still so familiar, it felt like my second home (well I did live there for two years!).  Worked hard, had a great time and learnt lots along with some new techniques!  I worked with three different key make-up artists and each of them had a very distinct style.

I did one show at the main hall in Somerset House and the rest of my shows were held at the Grand Lodge of England, Freemasons Hall (near Covent Garden for those who are trying to get their bearings!) – such an amazing building!

Bora Aksu had an amazing collection with the hair & make-up matching the whole look to a tee.  William Tempest also has some beautiful clothes and I loved Louise Armstrup’s installation.  Backstage at Romina Karamanea was a bit insane – hairstylists were hacking into the hair pieces on the models halfway through the show to change the look!  Also got to see the David Korma show and scored some front row seats! Don't you love goodies bags? :)

Some of my ‘backstage’ photos can be seen here:
